eThree Question Step Templates

eThree wanted to add the ability to solicit user input within Experiences, the short step-based multimedia lessons that made up their core learning app. It was important that Experience builders would have a streamlined question authoring experience that minimized human error, and limited user input to things that could be easily tracked: ratings, sorting options, multiple choice, et cetera. Moreover, users needed to be presented Question steps that fit seamlessly into the rest of their learning Experience.

I expanded our existing Experience Panel environment to include Question Panels, which used a common set of styling and logic to display a wide variety of different question subtypes. Much of my time with eThree was focused on making sure different amounts of user generated content were displayed gracefully. To that end, question panels in particular were built to ensure a wide range of permissible text lengths, making any length of question and answer look beautiful and intentional in the live rendered design.
