Hello! I’m Derek, and I’ve been working professionally in web development since 2014 as a hybrid front end developer and UI designer.
Starting life as a traditional illustrator, I try to marry my knowhow as a visual communicator with my experience as a frontend developer to create clean, functional web interfaces that are simple, beautiful, and a pleasure to use. In my studio practice, I produce interactive comics for the web using Twine and a library I’ve written called Jinx.
